A new skiing area between Beaufortain & Val D'Arly Valleys.
(open since December 2005).
The former Espace Cristal, which linked Les Saisies and Crest-Voland - Cohennoz, became the new "Espace Diamant" domain, also connecting the village resorts of Notre-Dame de Bellecombe, Flumet and Praz sur Arly (185 km of slopes).
The "Espace Diamant" domain offers wonderful sceneries everywhere and beautiful points of view from every summit (Mont-Blanc, Beaufortain Valley, Aravis mountain chain...). Between forests and snow fields, you will enjoy all kinds of glide!

From 2000 Les Saisies resort and Hauteluce Village have invested about 6.1 M€ for this project.
4 new chairlifts built in Hauteluce area: Roche-Blanche (in 2003), Grattary, Brichou and Douce (in 2005). To check this part of the ski map please click-here.
9 summits between 1 600 and 2 069 meters high: Mont Bisanne, Légette, Chard du Beurre, in les Saisies, Mont Lachat in Crest Voland, Mont Rond and Mont Vorès in Notre Dame de Bellecombe, Roc des Evettes in Flumet and Ban Rouge in Praz sur Arly. Those are not so high but the place is famous for a very good average of snow.

Espace Diamant history: I took years and years of work and negotiation between the resorts for the project to be done. Everything starts with the Espace Cristal domain which creates the link between Les Saisies and Crest Voland. We are in 1984, the Espace Cristal domain is just finished that everybody starts talking about the Espace Diamant. It is the first and only name given to the link project between Les Saisies and Notre-Dame de Bellecombe. It took 10 years for this project to be achieved.
Nature respect: Bigger skiing area means big work. But all the new lifts, slopes and building have been built for the lowest ecosystem impact according to special investigation. Nature protection was one of the first preoccupation during all the work.
Concrete examples: - Areas planted with grass, and enclosed during summer to allow the vegetation renewal. - The shifting of the lifts' arrivals according to the previous plans in order to respect the shape of the ridge between Les Saisies and Notre Dame de Bellecombe. - The protection of the Tetras nesting zone. - The rehabilitationof some pastures, which were abandonned until then. They were cleaned for the creation of new slopes. Next summer, the farmers will be able to use them as pastures again...
