Since 2003, Hauteluce village, Les Saisies ski resort and Cancale sea resort, in Brittany, are linked by a partnership.
Cancale town: Cancale is located between St Malo and the St Michel Mount, about 50 km far from Rennes, in Brittany. If the town has developped sheltered by the bay, a part of its littoral faces the emerald coast and its rocks on the west side of the Grouin Headland.
On "La Cancalaise" old ship, sheltered in its creeks or on the "Custom's officers' path and the Grouin headland panoramic views, Cancale offers a privileged setting to live the sea and try the various Bay activities.
With its oysters and fresh fish from the Bay, Cancale offers a gastronomic cooking, inviting to discover the rich flavours of its sea and soil. Cancale town is labelled as "remarkable site of taste". For more information, click here .
The Partnership: This partnership counts two parts:
A touristic one and an associative life one. The touristic part consists in the reciprocal promotion of the two sites: Les Saisies and Cancale. Each resort becomes a relay for the other partner. For example: *Reciprocal distribution of documentations. *Creation of page on each website, dedicated to the other resort, with a link to each website. *Organization of promoting actions and communication on each resort. This type of action has already taken a concrete shape, as in December 2003, about 10 inhabitants of Les Saisies and Hauteluce went to Cancale to propose various free animations to Cancale inhabitants. => Local products tasting, biathlon initiation in the town schools and on the port, games...
Their turn, our Cancale friends went up to Les saisies in December to propose their famous oysters to our inhabitants and tourists as well as games and a VIP meal.

* The "Associative life" part: We are thinking about organizing exchanges between the associations of our two resorts.
